I just purchased a 2006 Jayco JayFlight 29BHS.
Took it out camping this weekend and there was a power fail during the evening and we lost the power. In the morning I only had my outlets working microwave works and small things plugged in like alarm clock and phone charger working. No ceiling lights no motor for the slide out. Could not check the tank gauges. Did not check the fans for ac or heat but assume they are out as well and the fridge is out.
None of my fuses blew and all breakers were ok flipped all of them a few times and nothing.
I have a friend coming to check the power in and out later this week but any suggestions on this would be helpful or suggestions as to if and what I could have blown like fridge or slide out motor. Kinda of new to the travel trailer world.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
From what you describe, you lost the 12 volt side. The 120 volt is still working. Check for a hidden (maybe 30 amp) main 12 volt fuse somewhere in the converter.

I had my cord plugged in and I did not have a surge protector. But I will next time as I was talking to another guy at the camp ground and he had one and was told to use it.
So I will be getting one shortly.

Any suggestions on where a hidden 30 amp fuse may be I pulled the converter out and could not find one.
There are two on here 30a reverse polarity on the face and both are good.
I checked the one by the battery and that one was good as well.
Thanks
Inside the converter there is a power supply that converts 120v AC to 12v DC. Plugged into shore power you can take a meter and see if you have DC voltage on the load side of the power supply. No DC from power supply means some occurence in the "loss of power" resulted in the converter being damaged.
