PUP power lift problem?

So we are new owners of a new 1007 and while camping I noticed the tent material on the sides was being pulled out of the box. The only thing I can figure is the roof is going up too high causing it to pull the rubber/plastic? Seal thing out of the channel it sits In in the box. My manual says to lift the roof until it stops on its own. I wonder if the dealer was supposed to calibrate this or something? Maybe we should ignore the instruction to lift until it stops for now and use the 2 rope things as guides when to stop?

I tried to Google my problem but didn't find any similar issues on the net... Has any one had this problem?

Btw, I got to test out my dealers "we always have a tech on call after hours and weekends to take your call in case you have any problems while camping", and they haven't returned my call in over a day...go figure...

I am sorry, it has been too many years since I've messed with a pop up.

Moved thread from Jayco Pop Up Campers to the "Jayco Problems and Issues" forum for a little more visibility, possible some FW, TT, HTT, etc., owners may have past PUP experience.

Also, give Jayco a call at 574-825-5861 and ask for customer tech support. Have your VIN handy.

My 2008 14RT POPUP has the original window material on it. I have found it shrinks over time. My side material is also getting real tight over time. Eventually it started pulling at the threads...

Makes it very hard to pull the material around the door jam and other tie down points. I usually do all of these tasks first before using the inside bow to open up the tent bed ends.

I suspect I will eventually need new side windows material.
