Range Hood Fan -> Instant Blown Fuse
Apparently the hood fan and the undercounted lighting is on the same fuse -we noticed it was dead last weekend while dry camping. Changed the fuse - instant blow when the fan itself was turned on. So... Dead short.
Removed the hood fan (I am not saying this is the least accessible part of the trailer so far, but suffice it to say, simply removing and replacing 4 screws that hold it in place has me booked for chiro next week..)
Anyway - what I found kind of shocked me -ok, not literally, but yeah - I was surprised. The leads to the fan motor slid onto their post and left to be. BUT - mine was touching the end of the motor, causing a short.
30 minutes and a quarter of a penny's worth of electrical tape covering up the connection and preventing future contact with the motor should resolve this. Dumb dumb dumb, Jayco, just dumb!
-i took a pic but now have managed to delete it from my phone. Hopefully that is descriptive enough to help someone else facing the same issue. I am NOT taking that hood fan off again!
