Roof leaking

What is the roof structure made of. Is it wood or aluminum. Does it have a rubber roof or what. I haven't climbed up to take a look yet and it's raining at the moment. I'm going to have to replace the entire inner ceiling as well as some walls. I just need advice on how these things are made. I am more than qualified to do the repairs once I have a understanding of how it is made. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Whay year and model is your camper?

Jayco has changed the construction methods over the years. Primarily it is wood on wood construction.

It's a 1997 model. So if I remove all said items out of roof and replace all rotted wood what can I use to put on roof. Is it a one piece rubber that you just cut to fit or is this a replacement part I can buy.im a welder so I was thinking of doing a fully welded aluminum roof. Would that be necessary.

Here is my write up on our 19h. As soon as someone can confirm if yours is made the same or not you'll have an idea.

You will need to buy a rubber replacement for the roof and it should wrap around all the sides - possibly on,y theee sides depending on how it meets on the front.

You have to start on page 2. When I moved the pictures into their own album the links changed and I can't edit the older posts. Sorry, should have said that.
