sanitizing water system-help

My husband and I just purchased a2006 Seneca HD. Following the owners manual instructions we have been unsuccessful at getting the bleach solution to syphon into the tank. This was never a problem with our trailer, you just poured it in. The owners manual gives no solutions. Can anyone help us???

Do you fill the tank from the street connection, or do you have an open hole/gravity feed to your main tank?

My husband could probably answer that better than I. But the manual says that you turn the water settings options to "sanitize" and home up to city water with s syphon hose in the bucket of bleach solution then water pump on and it is supposed to syphon into the tank. Is not picking up solution.???

May need to prime the water pump, just have another bucket of clean water and insert the siphon hose into it and let the pump run for a couple minutes. Don't run the pump dry too long or might burn up the water pump. I have a GH 31ss, and I believe there are two different settings on my main water manifold, one to fill the water tank and one to sanitize/winterize. May need to change the manifold setting as well.

Try raising the bucket up to the level of the pump. Sometimes the pump has trouble getting started if it has to lift the liquid too high. Check the hose connection to be sure it is tight. A little air leak may be enough to prevent the pump from sucking the water. Using a funnel on the end of the short hose I poured water into the system a couple of times with the valves set on sanitize to try to prime the pump. It took some messing around but I did finally get the pump drawing the water.

If you have a "country fill" setting try siphoning your bleash solution using that manifold setting.
