Schwintek Slide Seals Coming Out

On our rear Slide with the Schwintek Silde system the gasket material is coming out between the Slide Mounting Bracket and Fiberglass sidewall.

I have sent pictures to dealer and they are contacting Jayco to find out what to do since they have never seen the condition before.

Has anyone see this with their Schwintek Slide units?

I'll have to check my brother in-law's 2012 Eagle FW next he is camping, never noticed it before.

When we first picked it up, it did not look like that.

We have towed it about 5000 miles and I was washing it and noticed the gasket sticking out.

Hopefully it just needs to be trimmed back.

Haven't seen that on ours Rob...but will keep in mind.

You did the right thing in taking pics to a Jayco Dealer who will contact the factory. Let us know what they respond with.

Could the bolts holding the frame be too tight, and forcing the gasket to ooze out ? Even if you trim it, it might continue to ooze out, and eventually there wouldn't be enough gasket left to make the seal.

That is what I am afraid of.

When I close the slide the excess gasket sticks out beyond the outside slide rubber seal.
