Schwintek Slide Stalling

During our moves to a Rally in Kerrville TX this week, our Schwintek Slide on our large Kitchen / Entertainment Center Slide stalled out. We ran it back out and it did finally come in but seemed to be struggling.

Checked the tracks for debris or alignment issues, do not see anything. Going to check the batteries today and make sure they are fully charged and ok.

I see in the Schwintek manual that there is a Stall Adjustment for the slide system.
Has anyone adjusted the Stall Adjustment setting on their Schwintek Slide System?

What else should I look for and check on the slide?

Have you lubed the rails? Mine did this and the dealer told me I had to lube the rails ... since then no problems

Which rails, the gear drive rails on the sides of the slides?

What did you lube then with?

Rob, your and Larry's experience is making me nervous about ordering a Pinnacle.

Are these widespread problems or are you two just unlucky?

The Schwintek Slide system is used on many Jayco models and by most RV manufactures today. It has been a dependable, reliable system.

Mine has been working great but my issue may as simple a just needing some lube as stated by Seann.

Lube sounds like the perfect solution Rob.

Just got back from 4 days out after our 'fix' and NO problems. Everything worked great and believe our issue was isolated but ready to go now.

Lippert, Jayco and the local dealer were concerned, as we were, and we could not have asked for better service.

Oh....we had a lot of jealous people on this trip going over our Pinnacle...10 rigs in our group.

I have not had any issues with mine. I have been told to make sure debris does not build up in the tracks. I may spray some silicone spray in them periodically.

Larry,

We are at a Rally this week in Kerrville Texas so I have not lubed them yet.

The Rally will end Sunday morning and we will head back to Montgomery Texas on Monday.

I got some slide lube but I am going to hold off lubing and running the slides in and out until we get ready to move on Monday.

Also as we are getting our Pinnacle and Tow Vehicle weighed on Monday as we are leaving. We will have actual individual wheel weights on the 5er and Truck and Pin Weight calculated because we will get the Trucks solo weight too. This should be interesting!!!

I will report the scale info next week, should be interesting.
We will get a chance to see how much stuff we put in our Pinnacle.
Also want to know what the weight difference is between the left side and right side since the all the kitchen, entertainment center, bathroom is on the left side, not much (Couch, Dinning Table, Hallway) on the right side.

They are going to weigh the Trucks solo on Saturday then weigh the Trucks and Trailers hitched up as we are leaving the Rally on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

Our Rally ended this morning so I had a little free time this afternoon.

I lubed the both of the Schwintek Slides with Slide Lube and let it dry then ran them in and out.

They worked much better, ran smoother and the motors did not seem to be struggling when operating the large Kitchen / Entertainment Center slide.

I will keep them lube the periodically, I sure hope that they work like they did today for many years to come.

Good to know Rob.

Name of the slide lube you used or is that the brand name?
