Question Seal Cleaner

What is the best thing to use to clean my slide seals?

Been on the road for a week and every time I open the slide I have black streaks on it from the seals rubbing. Tried lubricating them but that didn't work.

Thanks for the help.

You don't want put any petroleum based sprays such as WD40 or anything like that on the seals. I use aerospace 303, wipe them down once a year. Some use silicone spray or talcum powder. For me, we camp a lot in the sun so want to get uv protectant such as the areo 303 on there.

Clean and wax the slide out exterior walls.
It made a big difference for me.

I use silicone spray on my slide seals 3-4 times a year. Keeps them nice and pliable. Agree with above with respect to waxing slide walls. Made our slide operation much smoother. I use ProtectAll to wax.

The best product to use is 303 (30324) Rubber Seal Protectant.
Protects against drying and cracking in extreme temperatures
Rejuvenates color to old seals
Restores seal elasticity
Easy to use applicator to get in tough spots
Perfect for use on cars, boats, RV's or any rubber seal that needs conditioning
