Shower walls coming off?

We are purchasing a 2010 28BHS. We noticed at the bottom of the shower walls they are detaching from the wall. I have googled this and it seems to not be an uncommon problem. Has anyone here experienced this? How did you fix it?

Welcome to the JOF, CanadianW's. I haven't had any problems with the shower walls so best to just wait and see if others chime in with the same problem.

Is it a tub/shower combo? If so, those walls are fastened w/ some sort of press fastener, and the bottom of them are sort of open; that is, do not caulk or otherwise seal the bottom edge of them. The tub has a riser edge behind the wall.

Welcome to the forum, CanadianW. I have the same trailer and have not had this issue. Do you have the plastic "tub surround" and is that detaching from the wall? Mikefos has the fastening method nailed. There is supposed to be a gap at the bottom between the tub and shower surround. If it is actually pulling off the wall then that could be a fastening issue.

I think what you are seeing is the design of the shower. The panels are somewhat loose at the bottom which I assume allows some flexing. As others have also mentioned, do not seal it up as it lets water and moisture run out if it gets behind the wall.

Post a pic if you can as that might help. Thx!

Not exactly sure what you are saying. is the shower surround coming away from the wall? A picture would be helpful. Are you buying from a dealer or a private party? If it is a dealer I would ask them about it. You could even take pictures and send them to Jayco and see what they say. I hope you love your new camper.
