Slideout adjustment

I adjusted one of my slideouts as it was tilted inwards at the top and had ground up the outside bulb seal when travelling. When it is extended the slide now measures the same top and bottom but when it's retracted the slide floor is in the air with no support under it and there is bounce from the weight of the recliners and table.

Is this correct? Should I adjust it back again so that the slide floor isn't floating in the air when retracted? It's up enough that if I go inside when it's retracted it pushes down noticeably when stepped on.

Doesn't the weight of the recliners (or whatever sits on your slide) cause the floor portion to move up and down during transit?
