Slow Blow fuse for stabilizer jack?

Hi all, in another thread I saw referenced here, someone mentioned trying slow blow fuses for someone who had their stabilizer jacks consistently blow fuses. I'm experiencing the same issue and before I tow the trailer about 70 miles to the dealer I'd like to try one of these fuses. Does anyone know where I could find them? The dealer had installed a 15 amp Bussman which I've replaced a few times as the jacks blow it everytime they either top out or bottom out. I was wondering if 15 amp isn't the right size fuse until I saw the post about a slow-blow fuse. Haven't been able to find one though. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

15 amp fuse seems small to me, maybe a self resetting circuit breaker would be better.

Yes, auto reset breakers is the only way so go. They are available in all types and different amps. These breakers should be used in slide and power jack locations.

Thanks! I saw a couple auto-reset breakers (regular and low profile) at NAPA. I'll get one of each and give it a try. I'll be sure to report back on how they work!

All power jacks should have slo-blow fuses... but they are getting harder to find... Ask at the counter when your in NAPA

Go to amazon.com and enter 12 volt fuses or 12 volt circuit breakers. They have plenty of various sizes available.

Keep in mind that auto resetting breakers wear out. I recently learned this and it took a couple of days to figure it out. Replaced the breaker and all is working well again. My problem was that when bringing in my power awning one evening, it wouldn't move. The slide that is run from the same breaker wouldn't move either. New breaker - problem solved.

I almost forgot, there is a auto resetting breaker inside the controller for the awning and slides. It has a auto resetting breaker in it also. Not knowing for sure which was at fault, the one inside the controller or on the Jayco 12v panel, I replaced them both. They were approx $3.00 each so no big deal.

I full time and this breaker failure happened 2 1/2 years continuous service.

Thanks Ed! I got a couple of breakers as spares, so it's good to know that they do give up over time. I can see myself going crazy trying to troubleshoot in a couple of years!
