slow drainage of gray water

I am trying to figure out why the gray tank from the shower has such a weak stream with the handle pulled all the way out. The gray from the kitchen dumps quickly and with lots of "gusto" but the shower side just trickles out. Sometimes it takes 15 to 25 minutes to empty out. I'm wondering if something is in the tank that is blocking the drain opening or maybe the valve is not opening fully. My camper is a 2016 Pinnacle RSQS. The cables from the dump handle appear to be ok but how do I get to the other end where it hooks onto the valve? I'm starting to get some bad looks when I have campers waiting behind me at the dump station! Thanks for any help!

My shower did the same thing, but my problem was just a clog in the shower drain. In my opinion, it seems like a vacuum lock. Maybe check your vent and make sure it's open. Pretty sure you have one. Just a guess...

Update: Nevermind, read your post wrong. Sorry, it's Thursday and I'm old.

Sounds like a bad valve to me. Stuck partially closed?

I had the same problem with my kitchen tank. The underbelly on my unit is not enclosed, so I could easily get to the valve, which is right at the tank. I took the parts apart and found that the opening was about 70% blocked by plastic "flashing" left over from the molding process. You would think whoever put the pieces together would have noticed that and removed it, but they didn't. I easily removed it with a pocket knife, and now it flows great!

By chance to you hear "bubbling" when emptying the shower tank? The vent pipe may have fallen down a little and not letting any air in when emptying the tank this would make it drain very slowly...
