Steps Not Retracting/Extending Fully without Assistance

My Jayco Greyhawk 31 FS (2014) stairs are not retracting fully or extending fully. We moved from one site to another and when we plugged the shore power cord in, the steps were working properly and i think in mid cycle, the 30 amp power receptacle was bad and tripped the breaker on the post. Their maintenance v
came by and switched us over to the 50 amp (with our adaptor ? reducer? and our power came back fine, but the steps started to not cycle. If i give a little assist, they work, except for full retraction. HELP!

We had that problem when leaving the steps out for an extended period of time.
If the motor isn't the culprit then adding some lube to the motor/gearing assembly and the step hinge points should help.
