Tire Air Pump / Inflators

A major error on my part is not checking the tire pressure each time I am going on a trip ( just laziness). I am dissatisfied with my current Campbell Hausfeld inflator. My Jayco Pinnacle tires are ST235-80R16 (D rated) and require 80#. There are so many different inflators I thought that I'd ask the forum for inflator recommendations. Thanks folks

I thought D rated are usually 65 psi ?

I know mine are and the E rated on my TV are 80 psi.

If you have Ryobi cordless tools, the $19.99 inflator does surprisingly well. I can say it gets you to 65 psi pretty quickly.

I can't remember the brand, but, I shopped for one 'made for trucks'. I think it wass $60 or so.

It takes a lot of volume and pressure to fill a truck or trailer tire. I tried one of the smaller compressors with tank and it did not have enough volume. You want high CFM at 90psi or better.

PS I don't leave home without my TPMS either

IF you have an inverter on board then this is what you want...
https://www.harborfreight.com/6-gal-...sor-62380.html
the smaller one is ok but as you near 80 psi it seems to take forever to finish topping off the tire

Forgot, you do want a 150psi or higher capacity. If only 100 it seems like it will never get to 80psi.

I have this setup...the VIAIR 400P-RV. I run 110psi in my tires and this little guy does the trick in no time flat. It's compact and very well built. A little pricey, but I don't think I'll have to buy another one anytime soon.

Do you think the Viair 300p would work well for 80 psi tires?

I use this and it works well on our 50psi tires. The actual unit is decent quality. Specs say it is good to 99psi.

I also have the VIAIR 400P-RV. Plenty of power and air hose.

Unsure but I also have the 400rv and it's awesome. I use it for truck tires, air bags, trailer tires, stroller tires, everything. Quieter than I expected.

Another vote for the VIAIR from someone who’s had to change a flat on the camper and the spare was low. Fully loaded 23RB didn’t slow the compressor down one bit airing that tire up. I use it for everything and liked it so much I bought a spare to keep in the other vehicle.

Well, those Viair do look nice, and expensive too.

I got this one cause I wanted 120V (I already had a 12V).

It only takes about a minute to air up my rear tires from 45 to 80 psi.

I have a viair on my truck with a 5 gallon tank. I can air up my g rated tires with ease. I also have the Fini 120 V compressor from lowes. It works really well also.
