Water Pump Upgrade + Accumulator Tank

I upgraded the water pump in my Jay Feather 24T from the old style 3 chamber to a new SHURflo 4 chamber and I could NOT believe how much quieter it was, plus it gave me a 20% water pressure bump. I added a pressurized Accumulator Tank as well. I'm very pleased with the new system.

Nice job on the install and love your videos. Our unit came with the 4 chambered pump and it actually gives better psi than a city water hookup with a 55 psi regulator attached and not sure why. Our pump starts out noisy but smooths out as the air is purged. Definitely going to look into that small accumulator tank as I thought they were bigger for some reason. I have the room without loosing a drawer! I noticed on the tank link you provided that the preset tank pressure is set at 30 psi. Did you have to make any kind of adjustment on the tank or will that maintain the 55psi as is? Sorry if I missed that in your video.

I installed the tank right out of the box and didn't check the pressure (I didn't think to). I need to research a bit on that.
You can get larger tanks and I might do that since now I have the room, having lost the bottom drawer.
Thanks TCNashville!

Great video and mod! Here is my upgrade from 7 or so years ago. Of course I had a bit more room to work with. ☺
