wheel bearing brand

Im going to replace my bearings and curious what brand do you suggest. Im sure I can order from dexter but I would think I can go to oreillys and get them and the seals? Might be cheaper.

If you have the bearings and seals out just use the bearing number and order on eBay. Most auto parts stores sell on eBay and you can save on tax with free shipping. Almost all bearings and seals are Federal-Mogul brand.

Any major brand would be safe, like Sealed Power, Federal, Chicago, etc. Same for the seals. Not sure who manufactures from China anymore, as I've been out of the parts business for 17 years. O'Reilly's, Napa, Pep Boys, all should carry a name brand, and I'm sure warranty their products. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I think most if not all bearings come from China now (kinda like ST tires). "Back in the day" my Father-in-law swore by Timken which were made in the U.S. of A. Sad to say they now come from you know where. As JFlight suggests probably safest to stick with a name brand.

Get the numbers off of the pieces, go on Amazon. If you want the best I would look for "German" made bearings today. Type in bearing number and you will get a variety to choose from.

Ford still uses Timken bearings. As well as NSK and Koyo.

Depending on how old the TT is, and if the axle are under Dexter warranty, you need to use what ever came with the TT. I talked with them when I first got the TT. You will also need to use the approved Dexter grease, see Dexter in the list below. Not saying that anything would go wrong with the axles.
