Unhappy Window gasket pulled out by slideout seal.

On our first trip out with our Eagle HT 26.5 we noticed the rubber gasket (between the glass and frame) on one of the sides of the slideout was 1/2 way out and hanging down.
It wasn't hard to put it back - it just presses into place.
The problem is - it apparently wasn't hard to pull back out either - because the next time the Slide went out - the seal was pulled out again.

Should have taken some photos but the rig is back on the storage lot a few miles away so I can't now.

So - I'm thinking about glue. I don't want to be too agressive because I might need to change it someday. So I was thinking silicone exterior sealant applied in moderation in the track before pressing the rubber gasket/seal back in.

What say you oh wizards of Jayco maintenance?

I had the same problem the slide out needed adjusted. It was to tight against the wall and the gasket would pull out while opening the slide.

Hmmm - hadn't thought about the slide needing adjustment. I'll have to look at that as well.

So I just went by the storage lot and looked at the slide and you're right WVDusty - the slide on that side is almost touching the wall as the window goes by. On the opposite side it's so far away from the wall that the gasket almost doesn't touch.

I KNOW this was not like this during my walk through because it's something I specifically looked for - so something must have slipped.

I've got an appointment for next week to work on it - I hope it's an easy adjustment and doesn't become a recurring problem.

Yes it must be pretty easy because my dealer had mine done in under a hour. It's a little aggravating but at least it's a easy fix.

4 bolts and a little man power to adjust if referring to the typical LCI twin rail through frame slides. Have owned a few that needed that adjustment.
