Winterizing, have cold water flow but no hot

I have a 2005 Jayco bunkhouse, first year using it. Trying to winterize it. Hooked air to the city water inlet. I was able to blow out the cold water lines but get nothing out of the hot water lines. I have drained and bypassed the hot water heater, opened the tank pressure relief valve, opened all faucets inside, opened the drain valves to the outside etc. I get air out of the cold water taps and drain but nothing out of the hot water taps or drain. My neighbor has had campers for years and he is stumped. Seems like we have done everything we are supposed to do. Just recently bought it, not sure if we had hot water while camping because we never used it but there was water in the hot water tank when I drained it. Any suggestions? TIA

Sounds like the bypass valves may need to be re-visited to make sure the inlet & outlet lines are in the closed position and the cross line is open.

Did you re cap the water heater tank before blowing the hot water lines, if not then the air is going out the tank and not pressurizing the hot water lines

Hmm.... But the OP said he bypassed the water heater, so no air should get into the tank - unless I missed something?

As Stingray75 suggested, maybe take another look at the bypass valves.

Quick Try reversing the city water screen so the pointed end is pushing against the check valve

If that were the case then it seems like I would not be getting any cold water flow as well?

By pulling the pressure relief and opening the drain valve water heater will drain.

I think it sounds like all 3 bypass valves are in the closed position. The bypass valve itself should be open.
