Not mine, but here's a 2017 White Hawk

It's a 27DSRL for sale at Thompson RV in Iowa. Found it while trolling the internet for White Hawk pictures, since I won't be picking up my own unit until about 25 May. Anyway, there are 46 pics and you can definitely get a sense of what your new White Hawk will look like. This one has the "Canyon" interior.

Sad to say, these are still shipping with the analog Coleman-Mach thermostat, so there's one upgrade I can already plan on. All-in-all, however, I like the look of the unit. I REALLY like the way the diamond plate wraps around the A-frame now, it's both practical and good-looking.

Okay, here are some 2017 28DSBHs

2017 Jayco White Hawk 28DSBH Stock: TT0065 | Alex RV Has fiberglass cap, "Canyon" interior

http://www.rvt.com/Jayco-White-Hawk-...901410-UX75507 No fiberglass cap, "Shadow" interior

Neither has a closeup shot of the delivered weight tag - too bad. Was hoping to see how/whether weights have changed.

I just got a super quick sneak peak at our 2017 DSBH at the dealer while it was in the middle of PDI. Didn't get to inspect things very closely and was only inside for about 30 seconds, but from what I saw it looked amazing! The new graphics on the outside also looked really cool. We are picking it up on Saturday so I will post pics of the trailer and the new specs. We ordered ours on Feb. 15 and were told 6-8 weeks. It ended up taking 13 1/2 weeks, which at first we were a bit frustrated with, but it all worked out well because we ended up with a 2017, which I was not expecting...

Jenny,

Nice! We grab ours on Monday, we'll post pics as well. Congrats on the new rig!

I like the changes they made in MY2017 and can't wait to pick up the trailer in Aug. In the meantime, would be great to know whether the weight changed significantly? I do not think so, as they increased the weight significantly changing from MY15 to MY16, but you never know. Tongue weight is my biggest concern, but as long is it below 700 lbs dry, I should be fine.

I pick mine up Monday, I'll post the dry weight as soon as I can and the tongue weight after my first weigh station visit.

Got my White Hawk!

Well, here she is, pulled her home yesterday from Albany, New York, 103 miles in rush hour traffic. Pulled like a dream, we were blasted by semi-trucks the whole way and not an ounce of sway. Used the Andersen WD hitch and Timbrens and was able to relax and enjoy the drive. I do need to upgrade to LT tires next. After that, I should be all set.

For some reason I can only attach one photo at a time, so I'll post more when that gets sorted out. One more photo coming up next for my friend Artur, however...delivered dry weight.

This looks very good! Thanks for the photo of the yellow sticker. I am glad they did not increase the weight!

Thank you!

Pulled our camper home on Sunday with a 40 mph crosswind. It lets you know it's back there. Wouldn't want to drive in that crosswind for more than a couple of hours. I agree LT tires would help a lot. Also have pulled it with out a crosswind and it does great. I've pulled heavier trailers in more windy conditions, but a camper is basically a big sail and it's different. Everyone's gotta know there limits. If your driving in questionable conditions, slow down.

Congrats, Husker! Sorry you had to endure those winds on your first pull of the new rig. Now you can remove "soon to be" from your signature!

Nice surprises in 2017 28DSBH

I didn't see these listed in the enhancements for 2017, but they're on the new 28DSBH:

1. The awning is a full two feet longer than last year's and now covers both entry doors.

2. The second entry has a full three steps instead of the two from last year.

3. There's an independent light switch for the light over the dinette (previously you had to use the switch on the light fixture itself). The new switch is located next to the switch for the up lighting in the slide out surround. There's still a convenient switch on the fixture itself.

If I find anything else I'll let you know.

Also, the cabinets over the sofa are now gone in the 2017 model. First "subtraction" I've noticed from the 2016 MY.

Noticed that 2017 specs are updated - the trailer is a bit heavier than MY2016.

2017 White Hawk 28DSBH | Jayco, Inc.

360 view shows additional fan in the living room area - the option I missed when placing the order...

Bono,

It is definitely a couple of hundred lbs heavier. In their specs, Jayco also lists just 22.5 gallons of grey water capacity for the 2017 DSBH, which can't be right, it has two grey water dump valves. They probably meant 22.5 gal per tank...

I thought you ordered that extra fan...did they screw up your order? Nice catch on the 360 view, it shows exactly where the fan is and would definitely make it easier to add one aftermarket, something I'm thinking about doing down the road.

Well, I placed an order in April, asking the dealer to place an order with Jayco at the end of May. When I found out what the new option means, i.e. additional fan and not an upgraded fan in bathroom as I thought, they told me that the trailer was already manufactured (in May).

They agreed to reorder the trailer for me, but it would cost me additional $1.5k - they said that Jayco increased prices in the meantime. I agreed to take the trailer already manufactured (without additional fan).

Yikes! Well, when you look at where the fan is, it's obvious there's 12 volt power right at the nearby light, so it's a pretty easy aftermarket install, either by a dealer or as a do-it-yourself project. And just a couple of hundred bucks instead of $1,500!

Look at the bright side...other than the fan issue, you got a 2017 trailer at 2016 pricing...nice!

I'm going to be installing a Vortex II fan in the bathroom, probably tomorrow or next weekend. If it moves enough air to serve as a "whole trailer fan" then I'll stop there. If it doesn't, I'll install the create a breeze in the living room area. I imagine with two reversible fans I'd get some pretty amazing airflow through the coach!

Exactly my thoughts. I already purchased Maxxair fan and will install just after picking up the trailer.

Vortex II Installed in bathroom

Installed a Vortex II fan in the bath today. I'm pretty happy with it, will post a pic or two later.
