'14 Seneca 37FS "Flash to Pass"

Is this just my rig or does "flash to pass" only work when the headlights are toggled 'ON'?

Did not even know we had that feature. I have been just toggling the switch. Now how dumb do I feel!

Age must be taking a tole as I have only used the feature to signal someone passing me that it is safe to come into my lane. I tow the Jeep above 70 on occasion but the one ton duellie in tow I try to stay at or below 65 and I have not flashed to pass once in the last year.

I don't do a bunch of passing either, but as a common courtesy for big rigs, I like to let them know when it's safe to come back over. -I had a big chrome tanker come back into my lane, the other day, and noticed in the reflection that since my headlights weren't 'on' that my lights didn't flash when I signaled him.
