Do you have your dual AC evening permit?

Do you have the fans set for auto or on? During the day they may be calling for constant cool and at night the thermostat is satisfied for brief periods.

My initial replay was meant to be humorous.

My AC does the same thing when the set point is close to the ambient temperature in the evening. I set mine so the fan is always on as I sleep better with a constant white noise. But if set to auto they cycle quite frequently.

If the AC ducting blows right on the thermostat it can cause it to cycle more frequently than it should.

I had both set to auto , should I put both just on or should I run just the bedroom unit at night?

Don't know about the ones in a Greyhawk, but in ours we leave the bedroom unit off at night. Much quieter if it is not needed.

We run our fans on AUTO.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. I prefer the white noise of the fan at night and so I leave mine on. But I also sleep with a fan on in my bedroom at home.

In regards to the units themselves they are operating as they are supposed to when set to auto (cooling and the fan turning on when called for by demand)

X-2 If you don't like the white noise and cycling put the front unit "fan on" and turn the bedroom off. JMHO

I'm with the white noise crowd. I actually get some of my best sleep in rest stops by turning on our generator and the front A/C. I was able to grandfather in and get my dual A/C evening permit though... :-)
