2013 Seneca M2 Maintenance

Greetings Jayco Owners,
We are not yet an owner, but are considering buying a new 2013 Seneca during show season here in Indiana.
Does anyone have any experience and notes on maintenance costs and activities on the 2012/13 Seneca on the M2 chassis? What all is required, and what can I expect as far as costs?

Thanks,
-scott

hi scott

i get it serviced once a year in the fall
both are done by the freightliner guys
i call ahead and make sure they have filters for both the engine and genny
i make sure to run the genny once per month under load for 2 hrs as well
i think it cost about 400 to do both in canada

Hi Scott -

I just picked up my 2012 with the freightliner chassis. Part of the paperwork the previous owner gave me included a service invoice from the Tampa Truck Center. They charged him $230 to service the Chassis, $45 to dispose of the old fluids, $130 to service the generator, $30 to check the tire inflation (a little steep I think), and $100 to investigate a problem with the chassis A/C (which I would have thought should be under warranty). The total bill after tax was $550.

Good luck with your purchase! So far we love the Seneca!

By the way Scott, I know of a guy selling a 2012 36FK that has nice upgrades including the fireplace. I think you could pick it up just under $140k. We looked at it but decided to spend some extra money for the 37FS floorplan with the bunk beds. He is a private seller so depending on your state, that can save you thousands of dollars in tax money. If you are interested, PM me and I will shoot you his info.

Brian
