2014 Redhawk 26xs lighting

Just traded in a 2006 Granite Ridge 31 ft. for a 2014 Redhawk 26 ft. When I turn the interior light switch on there is a long pause before the lights come on or I have to switch off & on again before they come on. Is this normal or do I have a problem?? Thanks..

Is it just one interior light or all interior lights? Assuming you are speaking of coach lights and not the E-450 lights.. If it is one light, you may have a loose connection, damaged wire, bad switch, etc..

The dealer should have discovered this problem when they were suppose to do a check out of your Redhawk. Also did the dealer do a walk around with you.
Sounds like it is time for some warranty work.

It is the three interior lights that run off the switch by the entry door. Of course we had a walk through, the lights were already on, but we did turn off & on & all worked well. Once the lights come on they will work if you turn off & on.. Seems like it is that first initial time that you turn on.. Thanks

That's not normal, take it back to the dealer.

I would start at the switch and check all the connection. Then pull down each light and check those connections.

Where are you located and how cold is it? Flourescent lights, especiallly 12v ones don't like extreme cold.
