2015 Seneca Brake Controller

I already posted this in the Tech section, not sure where it should be posted.

I have always installed my own brake controllers. Just purchased a 2015 Seneca, where is the pre-wired wiring harness located?

Thanks

Tom

My 2014 did not have one. It had to be added. Don't know on the 2015. I just looked at a 15 the other day and it looked the same as mine.

Oh and we don't smoke so installed the controller where the ashtray was. Perfect spot for it.

On my 2015 37TS the wiring was under the dash on driver side; three wires.

What color were the wires, and how did you find them. I did not see any loose wires.

I have been all through the wiring under the complete dash area and cannot find it, so I have given up and scheduled a visit to the the dealer.

The complete wiring loom I.E. 12V, ground, brake switch, brake control is wrapped in black tape pushed up under the dash, it was not easy to locate however; it is there. Don't give up! Look for the colored wires as it may look like its part of another loom but the end is not connected, red, white, black, green and blue.

Jayco swears it is there. I have an idea it is there but really hidden. According to Freightliner they have had it in there wiring harness since 2004.

Brake controller

The wiring could well be there and the tech simply did not find it.

If you are unable to locate it under the dash, remove the dash trim and face plate (holds the switches for windows, OD, door lock, etc...) you will see the taped bundle as the factory pushes it up from the bottom. I swore mine didn't exist however; it was there, quick, easy connections. I tow an enclosed trailer, Brake controller and charge circuit work great.

My 2015 e450 ford has the wiring behind the coin holder. Remove the holder from the top side and the OEM plug is in the backside of the coin holder. All the wires are there and I just installed my own controller

It has been a while since I looked but believe there were three wires. One was blue and one gray; forget the other. Rather large gauge wires. They come out somewhere above the accelerator pedal such that I stuffed the ends up under the dash to the driver side of the ashtray area.

I have had no luck finding mine either?? I have not removed the dash yet. Seams extremely stupid to hide something like that when that's the rigs best selling feature!!

Did they say it was there and the location or did they just pull a new wire?
