2016 29me GPS

I will be picking up my 29me next week. Can anyone tell me if the GPS is a standard car GPS or a RV GPS

Garbage

Welcome to the ME Club!!!

As for the GPS...If it is the same as the 2015 models... It is Garbage. The Jensen unit tries to do way to many things and does none of them well.

I run a separate RV GPS unit and keep the Jensen set up for radio and camera use. I have tweaked mine so the rearview camera is the primary function and stays on full time, until I turn on the turn signals and then I get the side cameras.

PDI Primer

If you are picking up next week... Look around the forum for things that are easily missed on the PDI.

If I was buying again, I would make them do the alignment and adjust the Hellwig helper springs before I sign off on it. Also check to make sure the levellers are a minimum 7"-8" off the ground, per manufacturer specs. Many of us found them as little as 6 inches off the ground which makes them prone to damage on any significant grade. I could not get mine into the driveway at home without them bottoming out.

After using Garmin GPS units for many years, I was willing to give the JENSEN unit a try. I found it difficult to use and overall did not care for it. I purchased a GARMIN RV 760 and I am very please with it. I use the JENSEN for listening to music and have it set to display rear camera all the time, to keep an eye on my toad.
