2016 Jayco Greyhawk City Water Connection Replacement

Hello Forum,

I lent out my RV to a friend and they just called and said a gust somehow managed to snap hose when attached to the City Water Connection inlet.

I found this video and was wondering if the Jayco Greyhawk connection will be a similar style. I won't have the RV back until tomorrow so I was hoping to get a jump on the repair by understanding what I will need to do.

Should be a pretty straight forward replacement. Be sure to seal the plumbing connection between the new inlet and the existing water line and seal the new inlet itself to the RV body.

I have a 31FK and I've seen the back of that panel. Just looks like a bit of a PITA with the hoses in the way if you have to get in there. But should be do-able.

Thank you! Love our Greyhawks. My parents have a 2015 31DS and I have a 2016 31FS.

Just received a pic of the sheered off city connection inlet valve.

I'm thinking remove the three screws and use a putty knife to break the caulk seal and then unthread the old valve off and then thread the new one on.

I'm not sure if this matters, of if memory serves -- but I seem to recall those check valves looked like some sort of crimp/pushed on installation. Just a possible warning.

Thanks. I got the RV back and it was a simple process to remove the broken city water inlet valve. Unfortunately, Camping World had none in stock but I found the exact replacement item on Amazon for less than 20.00.

Three screws and then pried off the circular base from the body of the RV. Then unthreaded the 1/2 inch male PVC pipe from the supply line in the RV.

New part will arrive on Thursday in time for a trip on Friday. See pics attached. Hope it helps someone and thanks to all who replied!
