Access to slideout mechanism

My 2003 Granite Ridge has some kind of fabric like membrane below the slideout mechanism.
How is it intended to access the slideout hardware (rails, gears, rollers, etc.) for maintenance, lubrication, etc.?

Cut it open, do your maintenance and get some RV underbelly repair tape to seal it back up:
