Always something...

I was fitting my new gutter diverter spouts, and found this trim piece short on the joint between the sidewall and cap on both sides. It is full length from the basement storage to the awning channel. And notice the painted stripe is low! It settled or shrank 1/2" in the last 3 feet of trim. Silicone sealant appears OK. Anybody else notice this? A couple more months on the warranty. Any suggestions?

Could go the long route and get a new one, paint etc. OR, get all black trim insert and replace. I love full paint coaches, but, the way most are built (finish, seal, paint over all of it), you're always going to deal with something like this. Both our Motorhomes were full paint, and it ticked me off doing routine reseals as you didn't want to jack with the original sealer or you'd see white. I did touch up paint and clear geocel pro-flex many a time.
