Awing adjustment

Not having had much chance to really use our awning since we picked up our coach last fall, we recently have been studying it and was wondering is there a way to adjusted downward?

If there are knobs on the struts, you should be able to pull down on the sides then tighten the knob to keep them in that position.

What Quahog said! You can also adjust the pitch so rainwater runs off at one end, using the extendable arms & knobs. Unfortunately, not all Jayco products use that type of awning. Some have sort of an "XXX" arm. I could be wrong, but I don't think those are adjustable.

On our 2010 22FB, not only could we adjust either/both sides down but we could remove the arms and plant them out from the TT making a nice large patio with no obstructions. Of course, it was all manual but I miss that.

My "Colorado awning" has a series of holes on inside of each arm. There is a spring loaded button that can be pushed in, and each arm can be adjusted up or down. I believe you must keep the sides no more than three holes apart,

Also, our salesman said you could only adjust the awing length while all rolled up. Well, never the one to listen especially salesman I tried it while open. It adjusts just fine!! Also has an auto dump feature which doesn't work if an add a room is installed. I guess if the awning gets a load of water one side is suppose to lower and dump it. We did use this accidental. The wife was standing outside while I was on a short ledder trying to adjust the length, to much pressure, but almost slipped off the ladder and pulled down the lower section which caused it to dump, all over the wife. After almost passing out from laughing I realized I wouldn't be getting any that night.

There are buttons (small ones like when you extend the legs of a folding table), one on each arm, that you push in to adjust the awning downward. It's pretty easy. You may need to get on a step stool to see them.
