Bad Inverter

During the PDI dealer found that the inverter was not working so they had to order another one for you. That's not good, but glad dealer found before they called for our inspection.

Yeah - I'd be thankful you got a decent PDI!

Assuming you are referring to a CONVERTER/CHARGER unit. This is the unit that converts 120VAC from the Shore Power Connection or the Generator if Installed to 12VDC to operate all of your 12V items including lights as well as charging your battery.

The INVERTER (also referred to as a POWER INVERTER) on the other hand converts 12VDC from your battery source and produces 120VAC to operate a few 120VAC appliances depending on how big the Power Inverter is and how many batteries you have on board to operate it.

Most trailers do not have INVERTER's installed by the mfg. This is an optional item...

Hi Roy - the Jayco Greyhawks are coming with inverters (usually a 1000 watt Xantrax) and I think the Redhawks and Senecas do too.

The Seneca he is purchasing comes with a 2000 watt pure sine inverter and a 80 amp power converter. Loss of either one would be a bummer, glad they found it before you tried to go camping.
