Battery gone KAA-PUTT - Replace with what???

The 2 year old Coach battery on my Greyhawk Class C 31FS bit the dust. It's a Harris Battery #27D170 with listed rating on battery as 20 HR - 160AH. Am reading elsewhere that the battery label is a mistake (or for that matter deceptive ). Therefore, for those who have had to replace this battery could you give me an idea of what battery and part # you are using for it's replacement?

Based on the 25 Amp... minutes, I would say that the battery is closer to a 50Ah battery. It is designed more for the automotive industry as a starting battery. It falls under the category as a hybrid battery.

Do you have a residential fridge that runs off an inverter? If so you will need a larger battery, or you will be replacing the new one in no time at all.

Let us know if there is an inverter connected to the fridge and we can give you some suggestions

Is it just two years or over 2 years, if just 2 it's under warranty if your unit is only 2 years old. If not I would get a good Interstate group 27 deep cycle dual purpose.

Thanks Grumpy. Didn't think batteries would be included in that warranty. My warranty is good until this coming July 31. Called my dealer and sure enough...they say if it is the coach battery I should bring it in and they will replace it.

You are right, it is a group 27. Noticed that different battery manufacturers use different rating terms though to keep consumers from making comparisons.

Free battery and a good dealer. A good day.
