Black Water Tank Question

Just got a new (to us) 2007 Seneca HD 35GS and we're new to black water tanks. Our previous camper had a cassette toilet which obviously got emptied after every trip. The question I have is, is it ok to leave the black water tank partially filled? We went for a 2 dayer to wring things out and the black water level isn't even registering yet. I've read that it empties better if you let it fill up and then empty it. So, any problem leaving the, um... stuff... in the tank?

Thanks,
Randy

Black water thank

I dump after each trip and clean it out with the flushing nozzle that is built into the tank. Does the tank have one. Once clean I put in a couple of gals of water.
Did you get the owners manual with you jayco, if not call jayco and see if you can get one, it will have this type of info for you.

I camp 250 days a year... and being solo it takes a month for me to fill up the blackwater tank... never had a problem with that.. HOWEVER I would not want to be towing it with a full tank... but when the tank is less than 1/3 full I see no problem moving it or leaving it for a while... NOTE.. moving it does help liquefy the waste... ... and as a side note here... you know to NEVER leave the black valve open as it lets the fluids run away and the solids stay in the tank and turn to rock ...right?

Randy, there is no problem leaving the "stuff" in the tank.

I dump the black water tank when it 2/3 or more full. I prefer to dump when I arrive after driving, the "stuff" is pretty liquified from the sloshing. There is never a line at the dump station on Friday. Sunday morning is a different story.

I might take a couple of weekend trips before dumping the black tank.
