Cool blowing power seat fuses

Hello all. I'm a newbie to the forum and a "new" 2012 Jayco Melbourne 29D owner. My wife and I are so excited about our new coach, we have been "dry camping" where we are storing it, so we can get use to it. Today something strange happened. I did my normal set-up routine: unlocked door, turned on the master "kill" switch, put down the Big Foot levelers, bumped-out, started the generator, and turned-on the inverter. All was good. Since we had been doing this several times this winter since we purchased, I wanted to see how much gas we had used. I started the engine to look at the gas gauge. The Big Foot system alarmed started chirping (I understand it is warning me to not go anywhere), but the main TV lost power as soon as the engine started. We turned the TV back on, but then i noticed that the power driver seat was not working. I popped the hood and found the fuse (30A) for the power seat. I swapped it with the wiper motor (also a 30A), then the power seat worked again. Out of curiosity, i tried to re-create by starting the engine again. Same think happened -- the TV went off and the power seat stopped working again.

So my question ...why am i blowing fuses under the hood? Also (and this may be related) the floor vents for my furnace are not working -- all other vents are blowing hot air, but nothing on the floor vents.

Any suggestions & comments are appreciated! Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Recently bought a 2012 29D and kept blowing fuses every time I moved the seat. Turned out that the seat had taken the insulation off one of the wires and when the seat was moved it shorted out blowing the fuse.

your TV maybe turning off due to a safety switch. some coaches have a kill switch to the TV so you can't watch tv while driving ~~~ may be
