Brake Light

Has anyone out there experienced the brake light and horn going off when you are going down the road or maneuvering around a corner? The first time it did it we were going around a corner at a safe speed, but now it does it when we are going down a straight road. I have no idea what the problem may be. I own a 2015 Jayco Seneca HJ.

Ouch, you've got some bare wires mixing it up somewhere. Time for some serious exploration of wire bundles and looms, pushing here and pulling there to see if you can determine where the short is. Problem could be under the dash, under the hood, or any place that 12VDC could run into your horn and brake wiring. Could be anywhere around the fuse blocks too which are also under the dash or hood. Could be an interesting problem for either you or Mr. Jayco to find.

I'd take it in to your local Freightliner shop and have them look at it. That definitely shouldn't happen.

On diesel pushers the brake lights can go on when the exhaust brake is on. Not sure how the Seneca's M2 chassis works re this. The horn is mounted near the firewall on the PS. Check the wires there too.
