Cab over ladder is killing me

The cab over bunk ladder is killing our feet climbing up and down.
Any solutions would greatly be appreciated?

Those OEM bunk ladders are just atrocious!

I took a cheap aluminum step ladder, dissected it to remove everything except the steps, carpeted the steps and had a comfy ladder for the bunk. A 2X4 fit perfectly into the end of the ladder and I angled one edge of it align with the edge of the bunk.

I relocated the TV antenna and satellite switches to the right side trim panel so I don't have to climb up anymore. I also added safety tape to the steps for those that have to climb.

How difficult was it to relocate the satellite and antenna switches.

not easy but a must do. Makes life a lot easier. Tbroussard gave me the idea and was much helpful in the process.

I would add that you will need three runs of 14 gauge power lead to extend the satellite switch wires. Once I sorted the coax lines, they were long enough to go to the surface box that I bought at Lowes. I used blank switch plates in the places of the original switches in the bunk area.
