Caulking around tub

Our 2001 class C Jayco does not have caulking around the tub. Do any of you know why? On another Forum, most people said it was normal. Is it normal on a Jayco?

Thanks for any info anyone can give.

What do you mean "around tub" does it have shower walls/door? if so you can take (had to do it on first camper) caulking and redo all the seams. If you are talking about the big space at bottom of shower walls and top of tub you don't want to mess with that, the space is supposed to be there for drainage reasons.

Yes, it is the big space at bottom of shower walls. We'll leave it alone. Thanks.

The reason there isn't any caulking there is because during transit the tub flexes due to the trailer frame flexing, etc. The caulking would just crack and be useless. Jayco, like most RV manufacturers have designed their tub walls to lay over top of the tub, so that no caulking is needed.
