Considering Tire Pressure Monitoring System

We tow a Jeep Wrangler behind our Greyhawk 31SS. I've been looking at several TPMS brands and am a little hesitant to jump. I'll probably go for one that includes enough sensors to cover all the wheels on the Greyhawk and the Jeep. I need some input from all you folks who have a system before I make a final decision. Thanks.

My TST system can monitor pressure and temp on 22 tires. You purchase how many sending units you need.

I use the tireminder system. They also have multiple tire applications. The only issue that we had was the booster was needed on both the trailer we had as well as the 5th wheel we have now. The right rear tire was very slow to register without the booster. With the booster, it works great. They also give you batteries for 7 years. Like TST, you can add more or less units as needed. I bought it in 2010. The folks that sell and service are very helpful.

X2 except we have been fine without the booster. Wouldn't leave home without them.

Agree that a working TPMS is important; when I had first installed my TST system, it detected a slow leak in a brand new tire and gave me time to pull off in a safe area and put on the spare.

The leaky tire tread had been punctured by a 1/4 x 20 1" long bolt and could be repaired. Saved me much time and aggravation and possibly damage to my trailer caused by a disintegrating tire.

Another tireminder vote. The booster is now included in the kit I think. I had 2 tire failures in abt 75 mi on the last trip. The TM woke up abt a second after the first failure threw 1/3 of the tread in one piece. The second failure was a big hole and TM told me I had a flat. No damage to the wheel wells! It also monitors the temperatures. It's amazing how much damage a disintegrating tire can do (ask my neighbor).
Loads of folks cover 10's of thousands of miles without but as for me and my family, we trust in the Lord and keep an eye on the instruments.

2x on TST. .. outstanding customer service and technical support. Order directly from them and get enhanced warranty. Oh yes, outstanding customer service -- by that I mean, thT I hand an issues just before a trip and they advanced me the replacemet part overnight and I returned the defective part.

TST 507 system for 4 years now. You replace your own batteries vs sending the sensors in.

On the tireminder, you don't send the sensors in. You send in the batteries and they replace them.

I have several friends with Tire Minder. They are completely satisfied.
I think the important thing is that most of them do the job.

I had a PresurePro. I wasn't happy with it. False errors and sensor failures were a continuous problem. Sensor would periodically stop sending info. Customer service wasn't very good. I ended up getting ride of it.

Well, I just took the plunge and got the TST 507RV. I called TST and they matched the lowest price that I could find on-line, and threw in free shipping, a three year warranty, and free programming. I decided against the flow through system as the batteries aren't user replaceable.

The system came in the mail on the third day after ordering.. now that's fast! Everything was already programmed, and all of the transmitters were pre-labeled for me. Great service!

Now, here is where I need some help...

The only two transmitters that I could get on (because of not enough room) were the two on the outside rear tires. Those two worked great, and immediately returned the same pressure as my gauge showed.

The Redhawk came with the braided stainless steel valve extenders in the rear, but, darn it, there just doesn't seem to be enough room for the transmitters.

Help!

I took the pretty covers off and also removed the braided valve stem extensions as they did not allow the ysy system to work. I was in a rush and prefer functional to pretty anyway, so it was all good.

I have the flow through and the battery is user replaceable. Two screws and bam there it is...

You will need a proper trucker gage/filler with an angle to it rather than the straight one. With my flow throughs they extend far enough to reach them with my setup.

I bought the Viair 400p-RV to fill them up.
