Angry Cummins 6.7 Turbo (rattle/whistle)

When at cruise speed (not speeding up or slowing down) the turbo controls are making some strange whistle-high frequency rattling noise. I have driven 3 of the 2014's all have this problem.... Mine started out quite, and it's getting louder and louder..... Service folks scratching their heads.... Help !

Check the bolts on the EGR valve, they get loose and suck in air and make a sound like that.

A lot of miles on it yet?

Has it done a good regen recently?

The cummins diesel emissions systems can get clogged ( EGR and cooler ) and struggle to allow exhaust to pull back through the system , perhaps creating the whistle sound.
