day trips

I was wondering if anyone in the north east takes day trips in the winter on nicer days. I hate the thought of the unit sitting the entire winter.

Have never done that but it's a great idea, I'm going to give that one some thought, just what my Cabin Feaver needs.

We are in Delaware. We've done one day trip just for the heck of it. We took the camper to Dover AFB and set it up. Let the kids play at the park and just hung out. Most of the time I just go out to the coach in the driveway, put a movie on and find stuff to tinker with.

Sometimes we go Stay-Camping just for the afternoon where we store our JayFeather. Why not... right? hehehe

Brought ours home from the storage place this morning. There's always something to putz with.

After spending $$$$ for a new generator carb, I make sure the genny gets exercised every two weeks.

We're going to take ours the 175 miles to our dealer in February, if we can dig the snow out from in front of it and get it up the icy incline in our driveway (hopefully we'll have some melt before then). We have a few little warranty issues to take care of. We're planning to stay in it for one night and can hardly wait. We're also going to hit the SLC RV show. We love to go to these shows just to reaffirm that we made the right choice! The idea of a day trip is great! It's been a particularly harsh winter, but other years it would be totally do-able. That would be a lot more fun than just going out and starting it.
