Dual Tires - One valve stem?

On my new Greyhawk 29MV, the duals have only one valve stem for the pair of tires on each side..
Can I be confident that the pressure reading on that stem is accurately representing equal pressure in each of the tires?

The other one is on the back side.

Both tires have their own stem.

Are they tied together with a braided SS hose mounted on the hub cap or lug nut? If it is rigid valve stem then you are missing the other one and might have them offset behind a rim out of view. When dual tires are mounted they should be adjusted so that a clear path is made from the outside rim to the inner valve stem.

Now if the 2 are tied with an extender hose then hopefully both are 100% pass through. If so the pressure will equalize in both tires the same.

Bad thing with that is if one goes flat they both go flat. I would opt for independent like I have on my TV.

If both tires are tied together (doubtful) the real downside is that if a leak develops in one tire both go flat. If there is a slow leak you risk overheating and possible blowout if not recognized. A TPMS system would be critical to let you know the air staus. I believe TPMS is important at all times, you can get a low or flat dual and sometimes not even see it just by looking.

take the guessing and worry of dual tires out of your life. I use this on my F450, no need to check pressure and don't have to worry about one going flat due being tied together. I now have just to glance at the cats eye. This is used in California on all the port trucks for the past 9 years without a failure.
