dump hose
Per the RV store we bought a Viper 20' sewer hose. When I got to the campground I went to hook it up. Well much to my surprise it would attach as it seems to be lacking the right fittings. Can someone "school" me on to best way to make the connections?
Thanks,

Did you get the sewer hose kit ? Or just the hose ? you need both ends if you just got the hose. Any RV place will carry them or you can order online and also available at many retailers...ie WalMart may have them also.

I bought a sewer hose kit. I has an adapter on one end that has 2-3 different sized male threads. It would attach on a threaded sewer pipe in the ground or the black swivel pipe out the bottom of the RV. What connects from the valves (a T where black and grey valves are) to the connector out the bottom?

Take the cap off the sewer fitting on the trailer and one end of the hose will connect to the trailer, leave all valves closed. The piece that's threaded will connect to the opposite end of the hose away from the trailer. If the sites a full hookup site you need to take the cap off the fitting in the ground. The threaded piece you have connected can be screwed into the ground fitting and if it is not threaded just put the end in the fitting and a rock or something to see it doesn't come out. When you dump pull the black tank valve first followed by the gray valves. Disassemble and stow when leaving.
Ground end

Use the elbow at the sewer connection and the straight end at the RV. I also would suggest a straight or elbow clear at the RV end to allow you to visually see what is being discharged...when draining your black tank (keep closed till full or almost full) you can see when it runs clear when flushing the tank. You also may want to get a slinky, to support your drain hose for proper drainage.
The rv end will have three or four tongues that will lock onto the lugs on the RV after you remove your cap.

I have the same hose kit with an extension. This video is a good demo of the product.

So the issue is inside the compartment how do you hook up to the manifold at the T. The cheap stock hose just slides over the manifold and is held on with a hose clamp and then goes out thru the larger swing pipe.

The dealer apparently took a shortcut with your setup. From your description your hose is just clamped to the outlet, whereas there should be a lug connector there. Your new kit should have an RV end that should engage the lugs on the outlet pipe after you remove the junk factory setup.
I also posted on another thread how I removed the exit "swivel pipe" since it was so limiting. I put in a replacement marine access plate and cover where the original exit pipe was, the cover I bought fit right in and even the screw holes lined up. I did substitute stainless threaded screws with nylock nuts instead of the factory steel screws.
I also installed a second access plate, replacing the one hose/cable entry fitting so my sewer hose comes straight down from the outlet instead of crossing to the rear to go out where the old exit was. I may never open the new cover I put there since I have the other.

I have yet to find a campground with a sewer connection that fits as "clean" as in the Mark Polk video. I have every kind of ground end connection imaginable and most of the time I still have to put a rock or firewood log on the ground connection to keep it in place.
