E450 V10 Traction Control

Anybody know how to temporarily disable the Traction Control in the E450 V10?
Reason I ask is because I was driving near a beach and the parking lot had a lot of sand in it. Tried to go thru about 4 or 5 inches of sand and the wheels started spinning and the traction control kicked in and prevented me from spinning wheels to get out. Almost got stuck. The owners manual stated there was was a switch on the dash for it, but I can't find one. Would be helpful to be able to disable it in cases like that.

Thanks for the info. From what I gather, my E450 has the Traction Control activated, but since I have no TC Switch, it shouldn't be. I will talk to Ford about reprogramming the PCM Module.

Tom, did you ever solve this issue??? I found this thread through a search because I recently got my 31fs stuck in sand because the traction control kicked in as soon as the wheels started spinning. This caused my coach to sink like a rock and get stuck. Had I not had the traction control kick in, I would have been able to make it through the short section of sand.

I took it to a Ford Dealer and explained that the Traction Control was on and can't be shut off. They checked into it and found a service bulletin about that issue. It was TSB 16-0168, they reprogramed the PCM to disable it.

Bulletin Number: TSB 16-0168 Bulletin Date: 12-16-2016 Component: 026000 traction control system Summary: Some 2016-2017 e-series 350/450 vehicles equipped without a traction control switch and built on or before 17-feb-2016 may have traction control function or traction control related symptoms. vehicles without a traction control switch are not supposed to have traction control enabled.

Hope this helps you.
