Question Extended Coverage

Not sure if this is right place to ask this question...We bought a new (11)melbourne last September, (brand new to camping) our factory warranty isn't up until next year, I thought, 2 yr on whole RV, correct? I just received an offer in the mail from JayPlus for protecting myself from the "unexpected". The cost is 4000.00 for 7 years or 50k, what is this, do I need this also? Is this an extended warranty from Jayco? Why would they send me this if I was covered for 2 years factory? We only put less than 4k miles on all last year and this summer.
While I'm here, is a good idea to have an extended warranty, and if so, from Jayco direct? Any help would be deeply appreciated, we are so new to this, we don't want to be ripped off. Thank you ahead of time with your help.

I bought the extended warranty from my dealer. Being new, I just figured many things could break. Think mine is an additional 5 yrs past factory warranty. Talked them down to $3k.

Well you get the two years with your purchase so they are selling you the additional five years. I never was fond of extended warranties, but I suppose there is much to consider with a MH like the powertrain. For the few miles that you use it each year you may be better keeping that 4k in the bank for a possible future expense. If you do purchase one, understand thoroughly and completely just what is covered (and what is not) before you buy.
