Bright side is you have two years to get all the bugs worked out I have read a lot of horror stories about owners of other brands having major failures shortly after their 12 month warranty is up.

Well that is pretty bad, I mean one or two problems is one thing but that is a little over the top.

So I am renewing this thread now that we have used our 2016 31FS for the second time.
Left side camera now doesn't work.
Gen 3 Girard HWT wouldn't fire. (Stuck selinoid)
Air conditioner does not move air well to back bedroom
Door stop keeps falling off
Electric awning bounces when putting in or out
Why are there no latches for outside compartment doors?
Queen bed is already developing body impressions

We are missing our flawless Forest River 5th wheel and are wondering if we made a big costly mistake

Did you see my post about my rear sway bar and passenger side rear shock being disconnected from the frame? Make sure you crawl under and ensure everything is tightened down. Also, did you try tapping the proportional valve with a hammer to get the water heater to fire? Girard will send you another one if that is the problem and also reimburse you for one hour's worth of labor. Sounds like you are having more trouble than most.

Hate to say this but, I'd be fed up and ready to sell it. That much crap going bad after a few uses is unacceptable..for any manufacturer. I'd be fuming.

Girard has a long way to go with their water heaters. The consumer doesn't care about the amount of water flow, or pressure when wanting a little hot water. We just want hot water when we turn on the hot water. Too little water flow, too low water pressure, too high altitude, too much cold water, someone else turns on water on another faucet, water too hot, flow sensors, relays, red lights, fans, resets. GOOD GRIEF!!

Is it reasonable to expect more when you drop this much cash on something? I think so.
But Quality seems to be Job #38 on all RVs these days.

Our door stop has fallen off a dozen times.
No biggie. Screw it back on. Next time, I'll add some locktite.

Our Girard Gen II water heater has been OK.
I've had to hit the reset button twice.
But, it is very nice having unlimited hot water when we're fully hooked up.

The AC flow has become blocked on one side too.

And the double sided tape that held the back shower wall to the wall, gave up.

But so far, these are all things that I can handle myself.

Hello All, New to this forum and new to a 2008 Jayco Seneca 35GS. I traded in a 2015 Four Winds 33SW on the Jayco. The 2015 had so many issues I could write a book. I was told by some folks in the industry the rigs built from about 2010 forward have all had quality of build problems. The economy downturn and therefore lack of RV sales caused the manufacturers to cut back on skilled labor. Replace the skilled worker with 2 or 3 non skilled workers for the same dollar amount. This is a common practice of Warren Buffet in any industry he buys and he bought a major chunk of the RV industry. Just my thoughts. I would be interested in any other opinions.

I agree that the quality of Jayco is terrible! I think ours was built by a bunch of angry middle schoolers!
