Found leaks at Water Heater, 31FS

For the last few trips, I have noticed a wet spot on the pavement, just below the water heater and electrical cord storage compartment. It appears to be centered a little towards the shower area, but dripping from the RV sidewall.

On this trip I inspected the hot water heater under the sink and found that the lower connection from tubing to pipe at the water heater was loose. I tightened both top and bottom as tight as i could by hand.

I am going to hook back up to City water and see if this fixed the leak. It rained at the campsite so all was wet and hard to tell if leak was still present.

I am contemplating whether to disconnect and use some teflon tape on the threads.

But, I also question if the nipple the tubing connects to is loose at the heater tank itself. I see pipe dope on it, so I assume it is a nipple screwed into the tank.

Had that happen a couple times on both our 2001 MH and the 2008 SENECA the expansion and contraction would cause them to loosen. Heard same issue from owners of other brands as well.
