Chevrolet discontinued the Kodiak chassis in 2009 but Jayco continued to build Senecas into 2010 on available chassis. There was no 2011 Seneca, and in 2012 Jayco reintroduced the Seneca on the 2012 Freightliner M2 106 chassis. The first Freightliner Senecas had no rear air suspension, the later models (2014 and up I believe) ride on 22.5" tires and have a rear air spring suspension that improves the ride considerably.

The Freightliners use a Cummins ISB engine and an Allison 2500MH transmission, which makes for a coach with a good balance between power and efficiency in my opinion. I love my 2014 37TS and am so glad I held off buying my new unit until the current lineup became available.

Thanks all.. Currently have a big FW Toyhauler but old age and changes in family causing me too start planning a move to the C's or Super C's. Already know that the Seneca is the way I want to go but I think I will start with something like a used Greyhawk and then move up to Seneca. That plan will be quickly abandoned in the unlikely event that I hit the lottery.
