Fresh Water Question

I have a question for the group regarding the fresh water tank. How long do you feel comfortable leaving water in the tank and using it again without emptying whats in there and refilling? For example, we took the Seneca out last weekend and are planning on going out next weekend again. About a half tank of fresh water will have been sitting there for 2 weeks. Would you empty and refill, or top it off and use it?

FWIW, we only use it for showering and washing up, not for cooking or consuming. Also, I always add a tablespoon of bleach to each tank of water.

Thanks,
Randy

Assuming that you have sanitized your system before the season started, I see no reason to drain it between trips. We don't, and have never noticed a problem, such as odors, bad taste, etc.

Yes, the system was thoroughly sanitized about 6 weeks ago.

The only time we have had problems with water that was a couple weeks old is when it came from a non chlorinated well.

I bought some drops at Walmart that are supposed to keep the water fresh.. Not sure if they will work.. But not expensive.

It is probably alright but I usually empty and refill with a few gallons for the travel needs.

Have never had a problem either way.
