Fridge upgrades

So my 2015 31fs shipped with a Norcold 821 that hs plastic door hinges on the frame of the door. Mine failed at the worst possible time and place, so an upgrade was in order. I forget who here clued me in, but Norcold makes a steel reinforcement piece for the lower hinge. Installation was super easy.

Then I installed the fridge fan from SmartRvProducts to help keep things cooler quicker in the fridge. I may go run a few tests before our next road trip to see how much better it works.

It might have been me; I did those two mods myself (though thankfully the fridge door didn't fall off to prompt me to reinforce the hinges).

I'm looking forwarding to seeing how the fan helps (or not) this coming Memorial Day weekend.

I installed the fan in our Norcold fridge this past weekend as well. I've read good things about them - we'll see. First trip out is Memorial Day weekend for us as well.

I installed a frig fan 4 years ago, great mod. I pulled a power line up through the condensate drain, and rapped into the 12V power supply line.

Installed the SmartRVProducts fan a couple of days ago. Be taking off tomorrow so fired it up and found it to be a really nice improvement. I normally run at a setting of 6 cuz I like the fridge to run lower than 34. Had to change the setting to 4 and it's still running around 28. Fridge cools down quicker and recovers quicker. Stocked it up this afternoon and it never got up above 34 after stocking it. Another bonus is no ice on the fins. Only down side I can see is that it's a bit noisy. Easy enough to turn off though so it's not a real concern.

Mine was pretty quiet when I fired it up after installation. W/ the fridge door shut its definitely quieter than the converter fan under my bed by far. And I don't get the rattles that come with having those shelf mount fans blowing upwards (waste of money btw).
