Generator Power out

I just bought a 2009 Jayco Grayhawk 30GS the on board generator runs fine and provides good power out. But when I start the vehicle engine the generator power output goes off even though the generator is still running. I've been told I can run the roof AC when driving. Is there a switch somewhere or am I missing something.

The only thing that should be going off is the TV, but you can fix that. The a/c should still work.

Thanks Grumpy, your absolutely right. I was using the TV to determine that there was no power out. Just went out and checked the AC is on and it does work. You save me a couple of dollars. Thanks again

Glad you've got an answer and have no problems.
