I have no complaints with mine so far as along as I am on full hookups. Unlimited hot water. Its when we boondock its an issue. Really thinking about getting a Truma unit replacement.

On Demand water heater

I really dislike the on demand water heater. It uses too much propane, too much water (will not heat on low flow) (need to run about 2 quarts to get it warm)and cannot adjust it to a CONSTANT temperature. I would like to swap it with a 6 gallon propane/electric heater. Has anyone done this ? 2017 Greyhawk. Anyone know what's involved ?

I have not - but it's been done and discussed many times over the years. It sounded like an easy swap. The Atwood 6 gallon sounded like it slide right in w/out mods to wall/frame

So if this is stuck will the unit still power on? I am trying to find 12v but the 2 wires that were going to the old water heater only read 3 or 6. Did you do the install?

Tankless hot water heater

No I did not swap it. I not sure I can tackle it. I really hate the tankless hot water heaters. The first one was a pain and I was told the Girard was better. It's the same garbage.
